The tuning lever appears to be a cheap imitation of one of the better brands. The star tip stripped out almost immediately because it is a poor quality metal that is chrome plated. Better ones use hardened steel. The tapering also was not done correctly. While it seems like a bargain, spend a few more dollars and go with a Schaff-Hale or similar brand. Except for the tuning fork, felt and mutes, this kit is a waste of money.

This was a gift at Christmas and the recipient was very pleased with the contents of this kit. He knows that it can be upgraded and pieces can be added -but this was great for a starter.

I purchased this kit so I could tweak the tuning on my piano between professional tunings (some of the unisons were getting a bit off due to the humidity changes). I am not a professional tuner, so I can't say how well this kit would work for someone who is. For me, it works well. The tuning lever/hammer seems to be of a good weight and firmness - not flexing when I turn the pins. The rubber mutes are standard rubber mutes, same with the felt strip. Nothing is "top of the line" but at this price, you can't expect that. This is a good basic kit for a reasonable price.

I haven't used it yet, but it is very high quality tools and everything you need to tune a piano. A professional pianist should use a professional tuner, but if you are tuning the piano in your house this is all you need. I am pleased with the quality of this set.

I bought this kit because it was convenient. Everything was put together in a nice pouch. I was hoping for a better quality product for the money. I will give them a three star rating because they will work for you, but I am skeptical that a professional would use a "kit" like this. I have only tuned two pianos with this kit, and I hope that they give me many years of service, but I am not sure.
I think you can get a better value by picking the wedges you want and the tools you need. I think you can save money and get better quality.
